SDF and the Internal Security Forces continue large-scale security operations named “Operation Retaliation for Raqqa Martyrs” backed by the International Coalition.
Within the framework of Operation Retaliation for Raqqa Martyrs launched by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) with the participation of the Internal Security Forces and the International Coalition, the joint forces intensified search and sweep operations in the areas of al-Karama, Sarren, and al-Mansoura.
During yesterday’s sweep operations conducted in the three mentioned areas, the joint forces arrested 32 terrorists and suspects, including two ISIS terrorists who facilitated the terrorist acts and concealed the terrorists who attacked the center of the Internal Security Forces in the Dariyah neighborhood last month, which caused the martyrdom of six fighters from the Syrian Democratic Forces and Internal Security Forces. Weapons, ammunition, and documents were also confiscated during the operations, reported the SDF Media Center on Friday.
In the vicinity of al-Mansoura town, the joint forces spotted a terrorist cell trying to move and hide in areas far from the range of operations, yet their attempt was thwarted, and the cell was dismantled.
This morning, the joint forces began an operation in Raqqa city, sweeping large parts of the al-Dariyah neighborhood where the sweep operation is still ongoing.
In the western countryside of Raqqa, the sweep operations continue as planned in the villages of Abu Qabia and Hammam, in conjunction with the ongoing operations in the Sarren area.
