32 organizations and parties in North-East Syria call on France to shed light on Paris killings

32 organizations and political parties in NE Syria call on the French authorities to announce the details of this terrorist attack to the Kurdish and world public opinion, to take urgent measures against murderers and to expose those behind this massacre.

32 organizations and political parties in North-East Syria released a joint statement condemning the massacre of three Kurds in the heart of Paris on 23 December and demanding light to be shed on its background.

The statement released on Sunday includes the following:

“In the face of the current process the region and the world are going through, while there is an urgent need to strengthen stability and the struggle for democracy, some powers and parties use the language of violence.

The planned attack on Paris Kurdish Cultural Centre was an attack directed against Kurds and democratic forces. With this terrorist attack, as is proven by all the evidence, enemies of the Kurdish people sought to commit a massacre. This massacre took place in a country advocating for democracy and rights.

This attack against Kurds is a continuation of the genocidal policy and its timing is no coincidence. We condemn the second Paris massacre that took place before the upcoming 10th year anniversary of the triple murder in 2013 of three Kurdish female revolutionaries (Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan and Leyla Şaylemez).

We call on the French authorities to announce the details of this terrorist attack to the Kurdish and world public opinion within the shortest time, to take urgent measures against murderers and to expose those behind this massacre.

We call on the democratic political powers, civil society organizations, human and legal organisations, friends of the Kurds, forces of Kurdistan, as well as the European and Arab community to express their reactions clearly and to put pressure on the French government to shed light on the first and second Paris massacres.

Lastly, we call for unity and solidarity, which is the only assurance of our stand against these terrorist forces and those supporting those committing a genocide.”
