Thousands of people accompanied the funeral of Afrin Liberation Forces (HRE) fighter Eli Bashir (Fedekar). The fighter fell as a martyr in the second phase of the Epochal Resistance. The funeral left from Avrin Hospital in Fafin and arrived to the graveyard where the martyrs of the Epochal Resistance of the Age are buried.

After the funeral, which started with a minute’s silence, Afrin Region Martyrs' Families Council announced the identity of Fedekar Aleppo (Seîd Beşîr), who fell as a martyr in the first phase of the Epochal Resistance.

Speaking on behalf of Afrin region Martyrs' Families Council, Xedice Îbo expressed his condolences to the families of the two martyrs.

Xedice Îbo said: "The invading Turkish army's attacks continue. After the defeat in Avaşîn last year, Turkey launched another invasion attack on 17 April. The aim of the Turkish state is to occupy the Kurdish regions."

Ibo said that thanks to the sacrifices of the martyrs and the people's commitment to the struggle and resistance, all the conspiracies and plans to eliminate the Kurdish people and the guerrillas will come to nothing.

Afrin Canton Council member Ehmed Selama said that the KDP gave information to the invading Turkish army about the guerrilla positions and condemned the KDP's cooperation with the Turkish state.

Selama said that as a citizen of Afrin, he will follow in the footsteps of the martyrs and follow the ideas of Leader Öcalan, and will not allow the Turkish invasion and its allies to achieve their goals.

Later, the identities of the martyrs were read and handed over to their families.
