Attacks on Rojava continue increasingly

Turkish forces and allied mercenaries have again attacked areas in northern Syria, concentrating on the regions of Shehba and Afrin.

The occupying Turkish army continues its shelling of civilian settlements in northern Syria. The regions of Shehba and Afrin’s Sherawa district were particularly affected by the attacks on Thursday and Friday.

The shelling of the Sherawa region began on Thursday with attacks on the village of Soxanekê. At least ten howitzer shells were fired at the village. This was followed on Friday morning by shelling of the village of Bênê near Afrin, which resulted in property damage.

The town of Tel Rifat in the canton of Shehba, which borders Afrin, was also targeted by the Turkish army and allied mercenaries with heavy weapons on Friday. The bombardment caused material damage to the local people’s houses. On the other hand, reports are coming through of aerial reconnaissance activity in the region of Til Rifat, which is at the top of the list of places the Turkish state plans to conquer soon.

In Shehba, the Turkish army shelled the village of Til Qerah on Friday morning.
