With the aim of facilitating and developing university education in the regions of North and East Syria, the Autonomous Administration on Tuesday launched a project to build Rojava University in the countryside of Qamishlo.
According to the information, the project is one of the largest projects in the region. The project is a huge university complex on an area of 800 dunums.
Once completed, the building will accommodate more than twenty thousand students. The university will have a large number of halls, auditoriums, art galleries, playgrounds, and gardens, in addition to university housing to accommodate several thousand students and staff.
According to the construction schedule, the first two student accommodation units will be completed during the current year and will be used by 700 male and female students.
