Dozens of neighborhood residents and KPC-Democratic Committee members attended the opening ceremony which began with one minute’s silence.
A teacher by the name of Rodin Bedirxan spoke afterwards and stressed that they will continue to work in response to all attacks.
Following speeches, the school was inaugurated by the mother of Martyr Miştenur Semira Kidro.
200 pupils will attend the classes in the school which was named after Martyr Avesta Xabûr who carried out an action of self-sacrifice against Turkish forces in Afrin’s Hemam village on January 27.
