Afrin Canton Assembly Co-chair Mistefa Hesen said the Turkish state gangs demand the deeds to land and property from the people of Afrin and warned the people that the gangs who have the documents will confiscate all homes and lands.
The so-called “Afrin Local Council” formed by gang groups under the invading Turkish state issued a statement and demanded the people of Afrin declare their properties owned.
The gangs are aiming to confiscate the people’s property and lands with these notices they publish and the “council” they formed. The gangs have worked to determine the homes and lands of people who were forced to leave Afrin due to the barbaric attacks and have already confiscated these properties.
Afrin Canton Assembly Co-chair Mistefa Hesen said the invaders are planning to confiscate all the lands belonging to the people after they confiscated the olive harvest.
Hesen called on the people of Afrin to be aware of the tricks and plans of the Turkish state and their gangs: “If the people of Afrin hand over their deeds and documents to the gangs, the gangs will be able to confiscate all lands and homes with ease. Through the so-called councils they formed, the gangs will make it look like they bought the properties and force the residents to move out of Afrin.”
Hesen mentioned that the Conference for the Liberation of Afrin has decided to not recognize any sales of land or real estate during the invasion and warned the people of Afrin to not send any documents to the gangs.
