Cemil Mustefa managed to escape from Afrin and the regime of terror imposed by the Turkish state and its mercenary allies.
Mustefa is from the village of Eli Bazan and has spoken to ANHA about what people who stayed have to endure.
"I was in the center of the Afrin after leaving the house to get a phone line, - he said - and I saw a child on the way. He was under the age of 15 and he was carrying a gun. I stopped and started looking at him. When the boy realized I was looking at him, he approached me and asked why I was looking. I said nothing, in case he would shoot to scare me".
Mustefa added that “The people of Afrin were forced to leave their houses without taking anything with them to avoid falling into the hands of the invaders”.
Occupying Turkish army and mercenaries, confirmed Mustefa, settled in the houses of Afrin people. Many came from Eastern Ghouta.
Cemil Mustefa had this to say about the kidnapping of civilians: “The mercenaries are plundering the houses looking for valuable goods to sell at the Azaz markets".
Saying that the kidnapped civilians are often from wealthy families, Mustefa said that the mercenaries had kidnapped civilians with different methods and wanted ransom from their families.
"The council established by the invading Turkish army to govern Afrin, does not offer any support to the public, but rather puts obstacles to whatever issue”.
