Shehba Canton Co-presidents Cîhan Xidro and İsmail Mûsa, and Social Justice Council Co-president Îmad Dawûd held a press conference and announced dates for the elections to be held in Shehba Canton of Rojava.

According to the statement, the following decisions were made in the meeting held in August 6, attended by the co-presidents of the Federation Executive Committee, Shehba Coordination and all committees, councils and communes;

Elections of communes will be held on 22 September, 2017.

Elections of Federal Regions Peoples’ Council and Northern Syria Democratic Peoples’ Congress will be held on 19 January 2018.

Shehba Canton High Commissioner for Elections will be established for the management of electoral works.”
