Hundreds of people took to the streets in northern Syria to protest against Turkish attacks on Kurdistan and to show solidarity with the guerrilla resistance in Heftanin. All political parties in Kurdistan were called upon to take a common stance against the occupation by the Turkish state.

A demonstration in Tirbespiyê began in front of the building of the women's umbrella organization Kongreya Star. Fehime Temo, co-mayor of the Hilwe Municipality, said in a speech that the silence of the international community legitimizes the crimes of the Turkish state. All forces in Kurdistan must develop a common political stance against expansionism and the human rights violations committed by Turkey in the process, the local politician said and added: "The Turkish attacks on Shengal, Southern Kurdistan and Northeast Syria make it clear that the Turkish occupying state wants to wipe out the Kurdish people. The UN and human rights organizations are responsible for stopping the Turkish aggression.”

Another demonstration was held in Amûdê with the same demands. The demonstrators, many of them members of Kongreya Star, carried a banner which read "No to the occupation, long live the resistance of our people" and chanted slogans such as "Jin, Jiyan, Azadî" [Woman, Life, Freedom], "Bijî Serok Apo" [Long Live Leader Öcalan] and "Long live the resistance of Heftanin".
