Factory reopens in Raqqa after 5 years

Historical steps have been taken since the liberation of Raqqa from the DAESH mercenaries, a year ago.
After the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) secured peace and security, the Raqqa city has become a symbol of the common life and freedom and many businesses began to open again in the city.
One of them was an iron factory that was put into operation again after a period of inactivity of 5 years.
The iron collected from the buildings destroyed by the DAESH mercenaries is brought back to the factory located on the west side of the city and reprocessed.
The factory, which operates from 8 am to 4 pm, is recycling 5 to 8 tons of iron per day.
Mustafa El-Ebid, one of the factory employees, told ANHA: “The factory reopened just when it was needed. Because we were faced with a reality in which all the factories have been plundered or destroyed, or the factory owners have migrated from the city. The construction sector is now having a new opportunity of development in the city. Which is why this factory was needed”.
El-Ebid stated that many people have the opportunity to work with the opening of the factory.
