According to reports from the ground, violent clashes are taking place between Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Turkish army with the gang groups under their command.

Early Friday morning, the region was shelled by Turkish warplanes, after which the same area was targeted by artillery attacks.

The Turkish army launched invasion attacks against Afrin on January 20. Attacks mainly target civilians and civilian areas, as a result of which as many as 150 civilians have lost their lives.
