During the attacks of the ISIS mercenaries against the city of Kobanê, the residents of the Syriac town of Jêrîn were forced to emigrate to the cities under the occupation of the Turkish state and their mercenary allies such as Jarablus and Bab. Now 40 families are returning to their lands.
The Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Canton of Kobanê organized a meeting on 9 September for citizens wishing to return to their lands.
At the meeting, it was decided that families who do not have any connection with mercenaries and who did not commit crimes can return their homes.
The first 40 families found to have committed no crime, returned to their homes under the supervision of the Internal Security Forces and the Qenaya District Council.
It is reported that other migrant families will be investigated to see if they are suitable for return.
