Four ISIS members captured in joint operation in rural Heseke

Within the framework of joint operations between the Syrian Democratic Forces and partners to combat the remnants of ISIS mercenary cells, a joint operation was carried out in rural Heseke.

The Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced in a statement on Sunday that a joint operation was carried out against an ISIS cell in rural Heseke.

According to the report, the operation was conducted within the framework of joint operations between the Syrian Democratic Forces and partners to combat the remnants of ISIS mercenary cells.

“The Anti-Terrorism Units (YAT) of the Syrian Democratic Forces, with the participation of the Anti-Terrorism Service (CTG) of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and the Global Coalition, managed to dismantle an active cell of the terrorist organization ISIS, consisting of four mercenaries working to support and supply the organization's cells, weapons and military equipment,” said the statement.

According to the statement, SDF units and partner forces raided the hideouts of the cell's members in the town of Markada, south of Heseke, surrounding their homes and searching them thoroughly.

A quantity of weapons and technical equipment in their possession was confiscated, and the cell members were arrested. Communication devices, various weapons, and documents proving their affiliation with ISIS were seized during the operation.

The Syrian Democratic Forces confirmed that they would continue to carry out their joint tasks with partners in the region, to pursue the remnants of the cells of the terrorist organization "ISIS", and to ensure security and stability in the region.
