The military invasion of the Turkish army that started on 19 January with the support of jihadist groups has reached the center of Afrin for three days. Over the past 58 days, the Turkish city has killed more than 300 people from the civilian population. Hundreds more civilians were injured.
The villages and districts occupied by the Turkish army and jihadist groups of the IS and al Qaeda have been looted. In the depopulated areas refugees were settled and thus the demographic structure was changed. Erdoğan has completed his announced ethnic cleansing.
The war crimes inactively observed by the world community have reached the city center and taken on the dimension of genocide. In the past three days alone, dozens of civilians have been killed in arbitrary attacks on the Avrin hospital, residential areas and civilian convoys.
On the 56th day of the military invasion, a total of 47 civilians were killed, including 16 minors and 14 women. 31 of them were killed in artillery attacks on the city. At 9 pm, the Avrín hospital was bombed. Three bombs killed at least 16 people, including the sick, injured and health workers.
On the 57th day, a gas station in the city center was attacked, which went up in flames. Artillery attacks destroyed many buildings in the city. At least six civilians died in the rubble of two collapsed houses. Many more were injured. In the morning a civilian motorcade was attacked at the outskirts. Dozens of people who wanted to leave the city were killed.
The number of people killed in yesterday's attacks on the city center and outlying areas is unknown.
