Guerrillas shot down a Turkish helicopter in Zap

Guerrillas targeted a Sikorsky helicopter of the Turkish army in the embattled Zap region which is witnessing resolute resistance against Turkish invasion attempts.

Kurdistan Freedom Guerrillas continue inflicting heavy blows on the Turkish army which has been conducting an invasion operation in the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq) since April 17.

A Sikorsky helicopter of the Turkish army on a mission to airdrop soldiers in the Şehîd Şahîn Resistance Area in the Zap region was shot down by guerrillas last night.

The helicopter targeted by guerrillas at 01:30 a.m. crashed in the area of Kûnîşka.
