'Humanity and freedom will prevail’
Abdullah Öcalan’s assessment that “Humanity and freedom will prevail” continues to be the hope for the present and the future.
Abdullah Öcalan’s assessment that “Humanity and freedom will prevail” continues to be the hope for the present and the future.
“We will turn this geography into a land of brotherhood and, at the same time, we will bury terrorism.” Erdoğan and his crew, who tirelessly repeat this rhetoric every day and every moment, as if blood is pouring out of their mouths, continue to say over and over again the same things as if they still do not recognize this people who have paid such a great price. While talking about Kurdish-Turkish brotherhood, he still continues to tear out the hearts of the people of the region, especially the Kurdish people, to destroy their homes with bombs, and to leave six-month-old babies without parents.
While this is the truth, and despite the fact that they themselves are the ones who are carrying out the real terror, calling the PKK a terrorist organization in the face of the honorable struggle of a people who are defending themselves is a discourse that even they themselves do not believe. The truth is that the honorable struggle waged by the freedom fighters with unparalleled sacrifices in the most difficult conditions, struggling under the leadership of Abdullah Öcalan’s unique resistance, is the hope of the peoples. That is why, in the face of the rhetoric of a special war, the Kurdish people and their friends continue to resist without giving up for a moment and keep on struggling to protect their existence with their own forces.
There are actually only a few words to say to those who talk about laying down arms every day: If the peoples of the region, led by the Kurdish people, had not developed self-defense, would it be possible to talk about the existence of a people and a democratic system in which all peoples can express themselves? Is there really a state mind that asks itself why armed struggle is the only option to protect one’s existence? Then, is it possible to abolish a system that you call “terrorism”, but which in reality is the most legitimate self-defense system in which peoples govern themselves with their own power and secure their existence?
In fact, it is possible to multiply these questions. Of course, it requires a heart to understand. It is necessary to ask: are those who cannot truly feel what a people that face massacres and bombardments every day and see their homes destroyed, and those who cry over Gaza but turn a blind eye to what is happening in Kurdistan, really brave or patriotic? Are those who lose even their human feelings in the face of the daily atrocities in Kurdistan, from the massacre of civilians to the pillage of nature, not really a disgrace to humanity? In this case, welcoming both peace and war is a reality that can only be borne by those with courage and conscience, that is, those with a heart.
‘The peoples will prevail in the war against unmasked Gods’
At a time when a historic opportunity was presented by Abdullah Öcalan, when there is a chance to show courage and get rid of the black stain of the century, the state mind represented by the fascist AKP government is clinging to the rhetoric of “Turkey without terror” and is in a hurry to save the day and, in fact, itself. Let us say that the end of such self-denial is already collapsed and let us continue where we left off.
“We will bury terrorism,” they say. This discourse, which we are tired of hearing, but which the fascist government spreads like wildfire, is the clearest proof that they are actually expressing their own reality. As Leader Öcalan said, everything the system says must be read in reverse. In other words, the AKP fascist government's efforts to conceal the fact that it is the very force that carries out and organizes terror are in vain, because the masks that were worn have fallen thanks to the great efforts and resistance of Leader Öcalan.
The true face of the system and state terror is at the stage of being held to account before the peoples. In other words, everyone knows that those who talk about a terror-free Turkey are in fact a state that feeds ISIS terror and all the jihadist mercenaries disguised under different names; but because this is how the “system” works, the peoples who are only trying to protect their social values continue to fight against the unmasked gods. In short, it is enough to look at the living standards of the peoples of Turkey to see the reality of the Turkish state, which dips into people’s pockets and imposes a life below the hunger line.
While this is the reality that the Turkish state is in, the fact that it still insists on violence and genocidal attacks, that it rains bombs on the civilian population all over Kurdistan, that it knows no bounds in hostility, are of course futile efforts for liberation. Because, as Leader Öcalan said: “Those who cannot be renewed will be defeated.” Those who insist on genocidal attacks against the honorable cause of a people struggling for freedom will experience defeat.
