Rojava-based Hawar News Agency (ANHA) reported that the fascist Turkish forces and affiliated ISIS, Al-Nusra and other jihadist gangs that continue their genocidal attacks in Afrin Canton of Northern Syria are making the Ezidi Kurds in the city convert to Islam.

Citing statements of the people in Afrin, ANHA said Turkish soldiers and allied gangs are forcibly taking Ezidis to mosques, making them perform prayer, make women cover their head, swear off and convert to Islam.

These practices are reportedly taking place in the mainly Ezidi-inhabited villages in Shera and Jindires districts, which are; Basûfan, Feqîra, Elî Qîna, Qestel Cindo, Qîbarê, Xezawiye, Birc Ebdalo, Qitmê, Eyn Dara, Tirindê, Sînka, Kefer Zêtê, Îska, Şadîr, Kîmar, Çeqela, Aşka Şerqî, Bayî, Qicoma and Qîla villages.

Today’s practices by the Turkish army and jihadist gangs are reminiscent of ISIS practices of 2014 in Shengal where Ezidi people were masssacred, girls and women were abducted, sold in slave markets, subjected to all kinds of inhumane treatment like rape and torture, and finally made to convert to Islam.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and jihadist gangs under their command are not only committing immoral practices but also trying legitimize their invasion and genocidal attacks by using Islam.
