Kobanê youth protest the international conspiracy

Kurds are taking to the streets in masses to protest the international conspiracy against Abdullah Öcalan who has been held in solitary confinement in Turkey since his capture and imprisonment in 1999.

Democratic Union Party (PYD) promoted a protest march in Kobanê to mark 21st anniversary of the International Conspiracy which led to the capture in Kenya of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan on 15 February 1999.

Hundreds of young people gathered at the Free Woman Square and marched to the Peace Square with torches and images of Öcalan.

The march was followed by a rally at the Peace Square where PYD Youth Council Co-chair Xunaf Xelîl addressed the crowd and said the international conspiracy against Öcalan continued today targeting the Democratic Nation project implemented in northern Syria.

The demonstration ended with slogans.
