Delegates attending the 2nd Middle East Youth Conference held in Kobane issued a joint statement on the isolation imposed upon Ocalan and said: “The isolation is imposed upon all peoples of the Middle East in the person of Ocalan.”
On the 3rd and last day of the conference, delegates issued a joint statement in 4 languages to highlight the aggravated isolation imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan.
The statement issued in the conference which was attended by over 300 delegates from four parts of Kurdistan, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Libya, Armenia, Egypt, Turkey, Tunisia, Yemen, Afghanistan, North Africa and the Sudan stressed that the isolation imposed upon Ocalan is unacceptable.
The statement was issued in four languages, Kurdish, Arabic, Turkish and Syriac, and said the peoples of the region will never accept the isolation, which is imposed upon all the peoples of the world in the person of Ocalan.
The statement saluted the hunger strikes led by DTK Co-chair and HDP MP Leyla Guven to protest the isolation against Ocalan and said: “We are here today in light of the ideas of Leader Apo, and this conference we have organized is a product of his philosophy. His ideas are the only way to a solution to the crisis in the Middle East.”
The statement continued: “The plans that were to be implemented in the Middle East through Ocalan’s imprisonment and isolation have been foiled in line with Ocalan’s philosophy itself for the most part, but we still believe the physical freedom of Ocalan is imperative for the future of the region.”
Conference delegates stressed that the Turkish state’s invasion goals in the Middle East will be voided by the leading power of the youth and women.
