In a statement on the occasion of World Peace Day, the Syrian Democratic Council stated that real peace is possible only by ending the occupation of the Turkish state.
The Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) released a statement marking World Peace Day on 21 September.
MSD emphasised that they support efforts to find a peaceful and just solution to the conflicts in Syria, the Middle East and around the world.
The statement remarked that a real and lasting peace will only be possible through a political solution with the participation of all Syrians, respect for the rights of all Syrians, and the implementation of democracy, diversity and social justice.
Urging the international community to support efforts to find a political solution in Syria, MSD called for strengthening dialogue and mediation mechanisms to resolve the conflict peacefully.
MSD stressed that “real peace is only possible with an end to the Turkish occupation of Syria and the cessation of local interventions.”
