MSD: SNC is trying to push back the Syrian revolution

The Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) Presidential Council stated that the Syrian National Coalition (SNC) acts according to the interests of regional and international forces to push back the Syrian revolution.

MSD Presidential Council responded to the group known as SNC’s demand that PYD and the military forces defending Rojava and the Northern Syria region be added to the terror list.

The MSD Presidential Council statement said: “At a time when the International Coalition increases support for the SDF, the only active force representing the Syrian peoples, to end ISIS terror, we see the Syrian National Coalition (SNC) acting according to the interests of regional and international powers to push back the Syrian Revolution, to make it stray and to prevent the Syrian peoples’ aim for freedom.”

The MSD Presidential Council’s statement continues to point out the Coalition’s attempts at a time when the SDF and its allies have achieved great gains:

“Despite all, the members of the Syrian Coalition have admitted that the groups in question have been part of their revolution against the regime. Today is a day when the SDF and its ally the International Coalition have achieved great gains. The Syrian Coalition is making allegations far from the truth against PYD, the Democratic Union Party who makes up an active part of the MSD working on building the Democratic Autonomous Administration in order to achieve the goal of a new Syria, and parties and forces that represent the region.”

The statement called the Syrian Coalition’s attempts to add SDF and YPG to the terror list through the racist and chauvinist press allied with regional forces like Turkey “foolish” and continued:

“For these reasons, as the MSD we state that we will be in solidarity and cooperation with the international community to the end and we will remain loyal to our struggle to end terror. We will continue our efforts in the military, political and media areas against the group creating sectarian chaos against our peoples under the guise of opposition. We believe in the solution to the Kurdish question on the basis of the Democratic Syrian Federation. We also believe that we will prevail against pro-violence forces and terror.”
