People in Rojava's Efrîn Canton took to the streets to protest Turkey's isolation of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and invasion attempts and attacks against Rojava.
Thousands in Efrîn have today joined a massive march to protest Turkey's isolation of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and invasion attempts and attacks against Efrîn Canton and Shehba region of Rojava, Western Kurdistan.
All institutions, shops and workplaces are closed today on occasion of the protest demonstration which is joined by tens of thousands.
YPG/YPJ fighters, Asayish Forces, HPC, Ciwanen Şoreşger, Traffic Units, Canton's representatives and health workers are also attending the march. Women representing HPC are among the units providing security for the mass.
The Arab community also took part in the protest to condemn the Turkish state's isolation of Öcalan and invasion attempts against Efrîn.
Following the march, a rally was held in the city center where Efrîn Co-mayor Nuri Şêxo, Arab representative Eli İbrahim and Kongra Star Coordination member Eyşe Hiso held speeches and emphasised that people and armed forces of Efrîn will resist the invasion to the end.
