People west of Kobanê protested against the joint patrol of the Russian military police and the occupying Turkish soldiers.
The joint Russia-Turkey patrol was carried out in the village of Aşmê, west of Kobanê and encompasses the area from the checkpoint of Upper Çariqli, Jibnê, Beyadi, Zormixar, Qeran, Dîkmedaş, Sêlim, Boban, to the Aşağı Sifteka Home Security Forces point.

On 12 November fire was opened against Kobanê people who were protesting against the joint patrol and 8 people were wounded.
