People visit cemeteries of martyrs in North-East Syria

On the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, people in Northern and Eastern Syria visited the cemeteries of the martyrs.

On the occasion of the religious holiday Eid al-Fitr marking the end of the fasting month Ramadan, people in Northern and Eastern Syria flocked to the cemeteries of martyrs in the early hours of the morning. In Kobanê, Shehba, Aleppo, Qamishlo, Hesekê, Dirbesiyê, Amûdê, Shaddadi and Dêrik, the relatives of the martyrs were received at the cemeteries by the commanders and fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

In northeast Syria, more than 12,000 people died in the fight against Islamist groups such as ISIS and al-Nusra, as well as against the Turkish occupation. There is hardly a family that has no fallen relatives. Cemetery visit on holidays is a tradition.
