For 61 days, the Turkish state has attacked the northern Syrian canton of Afrin with the support of jihadist gangs. Fighting continues in the city and the surrounding districts.
Ten YPG/YPJ fighters martyred in battles in the villages of Kimarê and Beradê in the Shêrawa district since yesterday have been laid to rest today in the presence of hundreds of people in the village of Ehres in Shehba.
The co-chair of the Movement for a Democratic Society in Rojava (TEV-DEM), Asya Ebdulah, said the following at the funeral: "The world is silent on the occupation of Afrin. We evacuated the population to Shehba to prevent more massacres. Our resistance, however, continues throughout Afrin. Nobody will be able to break the will of the people. As long as the occupiers are in Afrin, our fight will continue."
Following the speech, the martyrs were laid to rest with slogans of "Revenge".
