PYD Aleppo branch goes to Congress
The PYD Aleppo branch is holding its second congress. The slogan chosen for the meeting is ‘We will liberate Afrin, and build a democratic and decentralized Syria’.
The Democratic Union Party (PYD) Aleppo branch is currently organizing its second congress. The meeting take place at the Afrin hall in Şêqêf.
PYD flags were hung all around the congress hall alongside photographs of Kurdish people's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and the martyrs of freedom.
The congress is attended by over 260 delegates, as well as representatives of the Kongreya Star, TEV-DEM, tribal leaders, Syrian Future Party, MSD (Syrian Democratic Council), Syrian Kurdish Democratic Party and the PYD representatives of Cizire (Jazira) and Shehba.
The congress began with a minute's silence to remember the PYD executives killed in Mosul on 29 November 2014.
