PYD: National Unity is the guarantee for security in the ME
PYD called on Syrian and Kurdistani circles to build the National Unity and stated that National Unity is the guarantee of security in the Middle East.
The PYD Caucus issued a written statement on the invading Turkish army’s attacks on Efrîn, ENKS’s stance and the National Unity calls.
The statement is as follows:
“There are various crises in progress in the Middle East under various names. The Jabhat Al Nusra, Fatah Al Sham, terror groups allied with them and the terrorist groups they are aligned with are threatening the very existence of Kurds. The Êzidî massacre of Til Eran and Til Hasil in July 2013 and Shengal in August 2014, and most recently the massacres in Kobanê in September 2014 are signifiers to this effect.
The gains achieved in Rojava and Northern Syria, the safety and the common life of peoples have been won with the sacrifice of thousands of martyrs. In the current state of affairs, democratic Kurdish forces play an important role in Syria an in the regional-international arena, and the YPG-YPJ fighters are delivering heavy blows to the ‘caliphate’ with support from the international coalition forces. This advance affects the plans of nationalist and fundamentalist systems.
On the other hand, the ENKS supports the special war waged by the Turkish intelligence and the presence of ISIS and Al Nusra.
The KNK is working for National Unity and believes building the National Unity along with allies of the Kurdish people is important. But the ENKS administrators support the enemy, carry out their agendas and with all their strength they are working to see the solution to the Syrian crisis and the Democratic Federation system fail. And they are trying to prevent the Kurdish people from meeting the Syrian people on common grounds.
We condemn these and the Turkish invaders and their gangs attacking the Efrîn Canton and Shehba region. We consider these attacks as attacks on the Kurdish people and all the peoples of Syria. With all our might, we will work to see the invading Turkish state defeated and removed from Syrian lands.
We are calling on all Kurdistani and Syrian democratic forces, circles and parties, as well as the honorable people inside the ENKS, to put a stop to the support offered to these attacks on our people.
