The earthquakes with a magnitude of 7.7 and 7.6 that hit North Kurdistan on 6 February affected Syria as well as Turkey.
The Northern and Eastern Syria Education and Training Board suspended education in schools in the Euphrates Region for two weeks to ensure the safety of students after the earthquake.
13 schools in Kobanê Canton were damaged in the earthquake. After the investigation carried out by the Education Committee, it was established that the damage in these schools does not pose a threat to the safety of the students.
