SDF denies General Commander Mazlum Abdi was targeted in attack
The SDF in northeast Syria denied news that General Commander Mazlum Abdi was the target of an attack in Sulaymaniyah on Friday as claimed by various media.
The Syrian Democratic Forces issued a statement denying claims reported by various media of an attack in Sulaymaniyah targeting SDF General Commander, Mazlum Abdi.
The SDF statement said: "The news that the Democratic Syrian Forces General Commander Mazloum Abdi was targeted in the city of Sulaymaniyah is not true. Our General Commander is currently on duty. The purpose of spreading such news is a political provocation directed against some forces in the Kurdistan region of Iraq."
