The Syrian Democratic Forces issued a statement denying claims reported by various media of an attack in Sulaymaniyah targeting SDF General Commander, Mazlum Abdi.

The SDF statement said: "The news that the Democratic Syrian Forces General Commander Mazloum Abdi was targeted in the city of Sulaymaniyah is not true. Our General Commander is currently on duty. The purpose of spreading such news is a political provocation directed against some forces in the Kurdistan region of Iraq."
