Citizens of Shedade district in Hesekê canton gathered at the Martyrs' Cemetery to attend the funeral of Martyr Ebdulmecîd Ehmed El Esed, a Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) fighter who died as a result of a heart attack on 24 June.
Families of martyrs, members of civil and military institutions, notables of tribes and citizens of the district attended the funeral.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ebir El Taan, a member of the Martyrs' Families Council, said: "Our people are resisters. No power can stand against our people. There is nothing greater than the sacrifice of martyrs."
Ûde El Hesen, one of the commanders of the Shedade Military Council, expressed his condolences to the family of the martyr and called for unity against the attacks carried out by the Turkish state against the people of the region.
