Turkey continues its attacks on the autonomous region of northern and eastern Syria in violation of international law, regardless of the earthquake disaster. SDD fighter Wisam Hisên Casim was killed in a latest attack on Ain Issa.
The press office of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced the martyrdom of fighter Wisam Hisên Casim in a Turkish attack in Ain Issa. The attack on Tuesday targeted a post of the SDF post.
The SDF statement on Wednesday said: "Tens of thousands of people have lost their lives in the earthquake disaster in Turkey and northern Syria, and millions have been left homeless due to the severe destruction. The danger of further quakes continues. Regardless of this, the Turkish state continues its attacks with drones, car bombs and artillery shells on the areas of northern and eastern Syria. In yesterday's attack by the Turkish state on our posts in Ain Issa, our fighter Wisam Hisên Casim was martyred while performing his military duty. The Turkish state is trying to exploit the earthquake disaster in an immoral way and has once again shown its inhuman face.”
SDF pointed out that: “We attach importance to the application of all standards and international rules in war. At the same time, we use the right to protect our people and our region and to avenge our martyrs. We offer our condolences to the family of our fallen companion and to the families of all martyrs. In the face of intense attacks by the Turkish occupying state and its gangs on our region and our people, we will not wait idly."
