SDF fighter Talal Ehmed (Şoreşvan Qamishlo) fell martyr on 28 June in Raqqa as a result of an attack by ISIS cells. He was laid to rest with a ceremony held at Martyr Delîl Sarûxan graveyard in Qamishlo.

Speaking at the ceremony, Martyrs’ Families Council Member Idan El Efeyn expressed his condolences to Martyr Qamishlo's family and emphasized that they would continue to struggle to fulfil the martyrs’ dreams.

Abdulkerim Sarûxan, Member of the PYD General Assembly, commemorated all the martyrs of freedom in the person of Martyr Qamishlo “The Rojava Revolution happened thanks to the resistance of our martyrs and brought together the Kurdish, Arab, Assyrian and all the peoples of the region. That’s why our enemies are attacking heavily. We need to be united and in the footsteps of our martyrs. Leader Abdullah Öcalan shows us that’s the way to freedom.”
