The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) issued a statement to pay tribute to five of their fighters who fell as martyrs in the Turkish bombing of Ain Issa. 

The statement said: "The Turkish occupying State and its mercenaries continue their daily attacks and aggressions against the regions of Northern and Eastern Syria, using different kinds of weapons, including UAVs, targeting the infrastructure and civilians’ homes in addition to the military outposts.

Despite three years of signing the Ceasefire Agreement with the Turkish occupying State and the US and Russian Federation, the Turkish occupying State did not comply with any of its terms. On the contrary, it has always sought to expand its occupation by launching attacks, committing massacres, and undermining the stability and security in our regions."

The statement added that despite all that "our fighters show heroic resistance against the Turkish attempts to occupy more land, and they sacrifice their lives defending the attacks of the occupation and its mercenaries."

The SDF then announced the names of "a group of our fighters who fell as martyrs as the result of the Turkish bombardment of Ain Issa town. 

We extend our sincere condolences to all the families of our martyrs and our people, and at the same time, we reiterate our pledge to enhance the struggle until achieving victory."
