SDF releases names of three martyrs

The SDF have released the names of three fighters who have died in attacks by the Turkish state in the autonomous region of Northern and Eastern Syria in the past couple of days.

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have released the names of three fighters who were killed in attacks by Turkey in the past few days in the autonomous region of northern and eastern Syria. Two of the fighters were killed on Friday in a drone attack by the Turkish NATO state on a SDF post near the Hol detention and detention center. The third casualty died the day before in a bombardment by Turkish-jihadist occupying forces near the small town of Ain Issa. The SDF send their condolences to the families of the fallen and announce retribution for the death of their fighters.

Bandar Al-Mizal was born in Til Koçer (Al-Yarubiyah) in 1989 and belonged to the Arab Shammar tribe. He joined the People's Defense Units (YPG) in early 2014 and took part in various liberation offensives against the Islamic State and other jihadist militias. He was mainly deployed in Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor and Hesekê. He was also involved in combating the ISIS sleeper cell network in the Syrian-Iraqi border area. Most recently, he served as the Commander of Security Guards in Qeyrewan. The SDF saw the drone strike at their post in Qeyrewan as a favor to the Islamic State and accused the Turkish state of actively contributing to the reorganization of the jihadist militia.

Ziyad Al-Ibrahim was born in Til Hemîs in 1987 to a patriotic family with many members in the ranks of the security forces and military structures of Northern and Eastern Syria. He joined the SDF in 2017 and, like Bandar Al-Mizal, took part in numerous operations against ISIS. He was also part of the security guards who take targeted action against the ISIS network structures in order to prevent the terrorist group from being reorganized.

Khalaf Al-Ibrahim was born in Deir ez-Zor in 1996. He joined the SDF in 2020 - at a time when, in addition to military and political attacks on northern and Eastern Syria, ideological attacks on the revolution were increasing, said the SDF, adding that “he was killed in an artillery attack by the Turkish army and jihadist proxy forces east of Ain Issa.
