and Serêkaniyê is besieged and civilians are being fired at and are not able to reach the wounded to provide medical assistance.
The SDF General Command said: The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have agreed a ceasefire with the Turkish state on 17 October following the US mediation.
The SDF have observed the ceasefire which began at 10 pm on 17 October. However, the Turkish state has not stopped its attacks and thus keep violating the ceasefire.
Although 30 hours have passed since the ceasefire Serêkaniyê is still under siege and civilians are being fired at and are not able to reach the wounded to provide medical assistance.
US Vice President Mike Pence and Foreign Minister Mike Pompeo, who brokered the ceasefire, have a responsibility to ensure the opening of a humanitarian corridors to allow the wounded in the city to be reached.
There have been no serious developments so far about the ongoing talks with the United States and the promises made to solve the problems.
We still act according to the agreement on the implementation of the ceasefire. We call on the US to increase pressure on Turkey to ensure the opening of a humanitarian corridor for Serêkaniyê."
