SOHR reports ongoing atrocities by Turkish-backed factions

National Army factions kidnap young man and beat elderly man in “Euphrates Shield” areas.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that armed men in military uniforms of the Turkish-backed National Army kidnapped a young man in the youth hostel on Al-zeraa’h road in Al-Bab and took him to an unknown destination on Saturday. The young man’s fate is still unknown.

Meanwhile, Al-Hamza militiamen assaulted a nearly 60-year-old elderly man. The elderly man suffered varying injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

This incident comes after disagreements erupted between a young man from Ghaytoun village in rural Akhtarin and members of the Al-Hamza faction. The militiamen then beat the elderly man when he tried to stop Al-Hamza members from assaulting the young man.

Yesterday morning, SOHR reported that a civil police patrol of three vehicles arrested a young man from Al-Bab city on charges of inciting against Turkey and sending inflammatory posts and messages against Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on WhatsApp, taking him to its security post in Al-Bab city.
