The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that Turkish-backed factions are digging double-track trenches in the area from the frontlines of Tal Tamr district to Aliyah in Heseke (Al-Hasakah) countryside.
According to SOHR sources, the depth of these trenches has reached three meters with a width of two-meter long. Moreover, the factions erected soil barriers in surrounding areas.
Reliable SOHR sources confirmed on Saturday that Turkish-backed factions prevented farmers from plowing and cultivating their farmlands in villages located on the frontlines between them and Syria Democratic Forces, including the villages of Al-Mahmoudiyyah, Aniq Al-Hawa, Al-Qasimiyyah and Al-Rayhaniyyah, near Tal Tamr area in the northern countryside of Al-Hasakah.
According to SOHR sources, Turkish-backed factions looted farming equipment in farmlands belonging to the farmers on these frontlines under the pretext of “suspension of farming and cultivation in the region”.
