Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced the results of a series of actions carried out in response to the attacks by the Turkish army in Shehba region.

The statement underlined that actions by SDF will continue spreading as attacks by the invading Turkish army and radical Islamist gangs continue.

According to the statement, many members of the Turkish army and gangs were killed as a result of a special operation by the SDF in the villages of Kilcibrin, Kifrxaşir, Able, Hezwan, Til Malid and Susan in Shehba region last night.

SDF statement said:

“In response to the Turkish army’s attacks on Afrin, SDF units carried out a special operation in Shehba region last night and targeted the positions of the Turkish army and allied gangs.

As a result of the operation, the Turkish army and gangs suffered many losses.

A special SDF unit infiltrated the center of the Turkish army in Shehba region near the Mera city at around 02:00 last night. At least 3 Turkish soldiers and gang members were killed and many others were wounded, a DShK-mounted military vehicle was destroyed as a result of the action.

Positions of the Turkish army in Kilcibrin and Kifrxaşir villages were hit with heavy weaponry and blows were dealt to the Turkish army in both locations.

A unit of ours ambushed Euphrates Shield gangs in between Able and Hezwan villages. A military vehicle was destroyed with the gang members in it.

Our units targeted the Turkish units in the surroundings of Til Malid village with heavy weaponry and hit the targets effectively.

Our forces also targeted Euphrates Shield gangs in Susyan village, hit the targets effectively and inflicted a blow on the gangs.

On the other hand, SDF fighters carried out an action against the Turkish units and allied gangs in Şex İsa and Şeala villages in Shehba region early in the morning. 7 Turkish soldiers and gang members were killed, one tank and one armored vehicle were destroyed in the action.”
