"The Turkish State increased its attacks at Christmas"
Matay Hena, a member of the general command of the Syriac Military Council, pointed out that the peoples of Northern and Eastern Syria celebrated Christmas Day and that the Turkish state intensified its attacks as Christmas approaches.
Emphasizing that they repelled Turkey-backed mercenaries to infiltrate the region, Hena said, “The intensification of the attacks against Ain Issa stems from the desire to occupy new places. As Syriac fighters, we will continue to resist any attack on our land, in order to realize the goals of our martyrs. We consider all their achievements as sacred and protect them as such. I congratulate all the peoples of North and East Syria, especially our martyrs, on Christmas. When peace and confidence are restored in these lands, Christmas will be meaningful."
Senherib Akad, one of the fighters of the Syriac Military Council, stated that they used their legitimate rights to protect their lands and added: “The Turkish state continues to attack us by removing all kinds of law. Their aim is to bring ISIS back. Our call to the international public is to oppose the Turkish state's aggression on Christmas. I wish 2021 to be a year of peace and tranquillity for the peoples”.
