The delegation included the President of the Syrian Democratic Party, Basil El Kiwêfî, the member of the Syria Democratic Council Wisam Osman, the President of the National Movement Basil Teqyedin, the Syrian Women's Council representative İnam Neyuf and the Syrian Women's Council member Esma Meşariqa.
The members of the delegation who came to Northern Syria to participate in the Syrian Workshop were welcomed by Ebdulkerim Omer, Co-Chair of the Foreign Affairs Bureau of the Northern and Eastern Syria Autonomous Administration.
Speaking to ANHA, Syrian Opposition Democratic National Community President Basil El-Kiwêfî and Syrian Women's Council Syrian representative Inam Neyuf expressed their views on the solution of the Syrian crisis and the aims of the workshop.
“We are a group of political parties and national forces. - said Basil El-Kiwêfî - We work with all sections of the Syrian people, all political parties and national forces to reach a solution. We hope that this goal will be achieved through dialogue within Syria”.
El-Kiwêfî added that the solution was not possible without the participation of all components in Syria.
El-Kiwêfî said: “Our aim to visit the Office of Foreign Relations is to present our proposals at the internal dialogue in Syria for the solution of the crisis. Our meeting was positive. No political solution is possible without dialogue within Syria”.
The politicians insisted that a solution will be possible with the drafting of a new constitution, participation of all segments of Syrian territorial integrity and condemnation of intervention in Syria, especially Turkish invasion.”
Noting that the workshop includes all sectors, El Kiwêfî said: “We hope that this meeting will lay the basis of protecting the future of Syria. Let us respect each other's views and respect each other for a new Syrian constitution that guarantees everyone's rights.”
El-Kiwêfî also had something to say about the meetings and talks taking place outside Syria: “The Syrian issue is full of different knots and very confused and it is dotted of interventions by foreign and regional powers. We want the issue to be solved by the Syrian people and within Syria. Outside meetings are beyond the will of the Syrian people and the final decision-making force is the guarantor states”.
Inam Neyuf, member of the Syrian Women's Council, said that women have many suggestions both for the Syrian constitution and laws as well as for Syrian women rights. “We hope that the workshop will reach important conclusions regarding the role of women in the new Syrian constitution.”
