Syrian Democratic Peace Party Co-chair Talal Mihemed spoke about the invading Turkish state’s attacks against Afrin. Mihemed said the Turkish state is constantly involved in plots against different peoples and faiths and added that the Turkish state wants to end the democratic project through civilian massacres in Afrin.
Mihemed said the Turkish state plans to invade Afrin like they did in Jarablus, Azaz and Bab and settle the families of gang members there, and stressed that they barbarically bomb civilians to force them out as part of these plans. Mihemed said the Turkish state attacked Afrin after they made a deal with Russia, and that Turkey is planning to take the gangs in Eastern Ghouta and move them over to Afrin.
Mihemed stressed that the silence by international states in the face of the barbaric attacks against civilians in Afrin is a great shame: “The ones responsible for the massacre enacted in Afrin by the hands of the Turkish state are the international powers who stayed silent against these attacks. Their silence both lays the groundwork for the massacres, and causes ISIS to get stronger in the region.”
