Thousands protest the Turkish state in Efrîn's Shiyê district

Thousands protested the invasion attacks of the Turkish state and affiliated gangs in Shiyê district of Rojava's Efrîn Canton.

Thousands of Kurds and Arabs staged a march in protest at the invasion attacks of the Turkish state and affiliated gangs in Shiyê district of Rojava's Efrîn Canton.

The march from July 19 Square to the town center was joined by YPG/YPJ fighters, Asayish Forces, Self Defense Forces and NGOs in addition to large numbers of civilians who unfurled banners of YPG/YPJ, HPC, HPC-Jin, TEV-DEM and Kongreya Star.

The press statement in front of the PYD district branch was read by Movement for a Democratic Society (TEV-DEM) Shiyê district member Mihemed Eli who called attention to the Turkish state's genocidal politics aiming to change the demography of the region as part of its invasion attacks. Mihemed Eli stressed that the people of the region will respond to all the attacks under the lead of the YPG/YPJ forces.

The demonstration ended with a theater performance of youths from the Democratic Culture and Arts Movement in Cindirês district, who treated the youth's role in society and importance of taking part in the revolution.
