Again, Turkish border guards have set civilian settlements on fire in the northern Syrian canton of Kobanê.
In the border village of Eshme, about 20 kilometers west of the Kobanê city, the arbitrary shelling set fire to wheat fields.
No one was injured in the attack which, however, burned about a hectare of acreage. The residents of the village were able to prevent spreading to other fields and the village interior.
Also last year, the Turkish army attacked villages and civilian settlements in the northern Syrian border region. Most affected were settlements in the regions of Kobanê, Cizîrê and Girê Spî.
