Turkish state and its mercenaries escalate their attacks on Manbij

Manbij Military Council reaffirms their unwavering commitment to the legitimate defense of Manbij and its people, urging people to stand united with their forces to protect and stabilize their communities.

The Media Center of Manbij Military Council (MMC) Forces reported that Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries intensified their attacks on Manbij and its surrounding villages for the second consecutive day.

According to the MMC statement on Saturday, Turkish UAVs repeatedly bombarded the area, launching dozens of airstrikes. Concurrently, its mercenaries unleashed hundreds of artillery shells and missiles, providing cover for joint ground attacks by Turkish mercenaries and Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham HTS militants on villages south and west of Manbij.

Among these attacks, mercenaries targeted the village of Andbat near the Sajur crossing. Fierce clashes erupted between the Manbij Military Council forces and the mercenaries, ultimately forcing the latter to retreat under the heavy pressure of our forces.

On the Deir Hafer axis, the Tabqa-Aleppo Road, and the Manbij fronts, the Turkish occupation forces are directly leading the attacks. These fronts have been subjected to at least 20 UAVs strikes. The Turkish occupation state actively monitors the positions of the Manbij Military Council forces, providing intelligence to its mercenaries, directing their movements, and coordinating ground operations.

Despite intense clashes throughout the night and into the morning, MMC forces successfully repelled all attacks.

In the face of these ongoing attacks, the Manbij Military Council forces, supported by the local residents, are demonstrating heroic resistance. The attacks on Al-Arima and south of Manbij have been thwarted through fierce and sustained clashes on multiple fronts.

“Our forces reaffirm their unwavering commitment to the legitimate defense of Manbij and its people. We urge our people to remain vigilant, adapt to the evolving situation, and stand united with our forces to protect and stabilize their communities,” MMC said.
