The sunflower fields in the Deama and Meydan Ikbis plains in Efrîn’s Rajo district are irrigated with the waters from the al-Aswad River, which was cut off in Hatay by the Turkish state, causing great damage.
A farmer named Zekeriya Ubed from the Meydan Ikbis village said their fields suffered great damages due to the lack of water.
