Villages of Shera, Afrin under attack

Turkish state forces and allied mercenaries have launched a wave of aggression targeting villages in Afrin countryside Monday noon.
According to reports, the villages of Meranaz, Malikiye, Şiwarxa, Kela Şiwarxa and Alqemiye in the Shera district were heavily attacked at around 12:00 today noon. Further details about the aggression were not immediately available.
The Turkish state has been carrying out systematic attacks against several areas in North-East Syria on daily basis. Civilian settlements are targeted by the attacks.
Only yesterday, Turkish forces attacked the Merenaz village of Shera and Beluniye village of Shehba.
On January 18, Semuka village of Shehba was attacked by howitzers.
On January 17, attacks targeted the Soxanek village in Afrin’s Sherawa district. On the same day, the villages of Beyluniye and Ayn Daqna in Shehba were intensely bombarded.
Afrin has been under the occupation of the Turkish state and its mercenary allies for two years now. The attacks of the Turkish state against Afrin began on 20 January 2018 and the invasion of the city was carried out on 18 March 2018. Since the invasion, war crimes have been systematically committed in the region. Almost every day, crimes such as the confiscation of property belonging to local people, kidnapping of civilians for ransom, torture or executions are carried out in addition to ongoing attacks.
