Dozens of women from the Sheikh Maqsoud (Şêxmaqsûd) and Ashrafieh (Eşrefiyê) neighborhoods of Aleppo condemned the attacks on the Druze community.
Women at the press conference organized by Kongra Star said: "Certain groups in Syria that are pro-violence have recently been fueling sectarian violence provocations. Deaths due to national, religious and sectarian differences have increased at dangerous levels."
The statement emphasized that the threats fueled against sects directly target Syria’s internal peace and all its people, and condemned the crimes and provocations committed against Syria’s components.
The women also called on the international community to take a stance against the impositions of nationalist politics that are tearing apart the unity and solidarity of the Syrian people and leading them towards civil war.
