Members of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement and the Young Women's Union held a torch march in Derik on the occasion of the birthday of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan, 4 April.

Speaking after the march from Derik to the Martyr Bawer Youth Center, Ceger Hesen, from the Revolutionary Youth Movement, said: “The birthday of Leader Abdullah Öcalan is the birthday of the people of Kurdistan. The people of the region live freely thanks to Leader Abdullah Öcalan.”

Noting that Abdullah Öcalan is fighting for the freedom of the peoples even in prison, Ceger Hesen said: “We will follow the ideas of Leader Öcalan. We will liberate the leadership.”
