Young people in North East Syria protest Turkish attacks

Protests against the crimes and inhuman acts of the Turkish state continue.

A series of protests have been organised by people in North East Syria in protest at the attacks carried out by the Turkish state against the cemeteries of martyrs and Zinî Wertê and the the aggravated isolation of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

DÊRIK

The Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement and Young Women's Council members protested in Dêrik in the canton of Qamishlo against the attacks carried out by the Turkish state on the cemeteries of martyrs in North Kurdistan.

The march, which started in front of the Martyr Bawer Youth Center, continued until Azadi Square with people chanting slogans condemning the Turkish state.

A press release was read by Dilvîn Tolhildan on behalf of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement and the Young Women's Council in the square.

Dilvîn Tolhildan stated that the Zînî Wertê incident was a part of the plan of the Turkish state targeting the identity and existence of the Kurds through attacks on martyrs' graves. 

At the end of the statement, Dilvîn Tolhildan called on all the youth of Kurdistan to turn all squares of Kurdistan into a field of resistance and to stand against the occupation.

GIRKÊ LEGÊ

In Girkê Legê, hundreds of people joined a torch march organized in Martyr Xebat Dêrik Square.

A press statement on behalf of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement and the Young Women's Council was read at the march which ended in the center.

DIRBÊSIYÊ

In Dirbêsiyê, the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement protested the Turkish state's attacks on Zînî Wertê.

The march that started in front of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement building continued until the district bazaar.

SHEHBA

Members of Kongra Star and Young Women's Association came together in the Ehras district square and condemned the isolation and the attacks carried out by the Turkish state against martyrs' graves in North Kurdistan.

HESEKÊ

In Hesekê, members of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement and the Young Women's Union condemned the Turkish state's attacks on Zînî Wertê.

The statement read by activists said: "As revolutionary youth, we will continue our actions until the international conspiracies against the peoples of the region come to an end."

QAMISHLO

In Qamishlo, members of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement and Young Women's Union organized a torch march under the slogan "Let's Defeat Turkish Occupation".

The march started at Qamishlo East Station and ended at Martyr Delîl Saroxan graveyard where a press release was read.
